Waveplates
Waveplates (retardation plates or phase shifters) are made from materials which exhibit birefringence. The velocities of the extraordinary and ordinary ray through the birefringent material vary inversely with their refractive indices. This difference in velocities gives rise to a phase difference when the two beams recombine. Our Waveplates include full wave, half wave, quarter wave and octadic wave; these waveplates are widely used in synthesis and analysis of light in various states of polarization. We support the range of wavelength from 532nm to 1550nm. Varieties of sizes and coatings are available upon request.
